The Chinese military said on Monday it had evacuated a U.S. warship that had illegally entered China's seaport near the Paracel Islands, in commemoration of Beijing's decision to rule South China.
Authorities in the South China Sea region have called on the United States to end the insurgency. However, the US Navy has not issued a statement on the matter.
The United States claims that the South China Sea is part of international waters and The Paracel islands are rich in resources, which are disputed by China, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Brunei, although China claims ownership.
