A new report says Africa needs to invest $ 50bn (£ 36bn) a year to tackle climate change.
The African Union and the World Meteorological Organization have warned that about 120 million poor people are facing floods, droughts, displacement, and extreme heat by the end of the decade if no effort is made.
They have also warned that all the ice in Africa is on the verge of extinction by 2040.
Africa is getting warmer faster than the world average although it is responsible for only 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
