Cristiano Ronaldo tops the list of the richest people in the world via Instagram, as a celebrity who charges the highest advertising costs than anyone else.
The Juventus striker could charge people or companies who want to advertise via his Instagram account up to $ 1.6 million for one ad, according to international marketing company Hopper HQ.
The former Real Madrid star has snubbed former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
This is Ronaldo's first time on the list since its inception in 2017.
The five-time Ballon d'Or striker currently has 308 million followers on his Instagram account.
Johnson, who has starred in Fast and Furious films, has 250 million followers and he could charge $ 1.52 million for one ad, while pop star Ariana Grande is third with $ 1.51 million.
Lionel Messi, who this week became a free agent after his contract with Barcelona expired, is in the top ten with seventh place for $ 1.1 million in advertising. The Argentine has 224 million followers on its Instagram account.
PSG and Brazil striker Neymar ($ 824,000) is one of the best performers in 16th place.
The UK-based Hopper HQ company operates social media accounts on behalf of individuals or companies and will publish the list of rich people on Instagram for 2017.
Some of the criteria the company uses to find the rich on its list include looking at the person with the most followers, how much he or she is sharing on his or her network, and sharing with other people in his or her account.
Since last year the average cost of a single advertisement for Ronaldo, who made headlines in June by removing coca-cola leaflets from a press conference before Portugal met Hungary, has increased by 54%.
There are six women on the list of the 10 richest Instagrams, although for the first time this year Kardashian or Jenner is not in the top three.
"While the Covid-19 epidemic continues to affect our lives, it seems that Instagram is the only place where it has not been affected by the epidemic, people have been killed using the network more than ever," said Mike Bandar, co-founder of Hopper HQ.
