Officials in Trinidad say they "wasted too much time" trying to substantiate Nicki Minaj's claims about the effects of the Covid vaccine, according to a government minister.
The rapper sent a misleading report about the effects of the coronavirus vaccine - saying that when his cousin's friend got vaccinated, his testicles swelled and he became infertile.
It happened He claimed that it happened in Trinidad.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said officials "took the allegations very seriously".
"As of now, there are no reported side effects or cases of testicular inflammation in Trinidad ... and no one we know anywhere in the world has had this effect," he told a news conference Wednesday.
Nick Minaj posted a message of the allegations on Twitter earlier this week.
My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied
