Three former US intelligence officials have admitted to giving the United Arab Emirates intelligence technology.
The officials have also agreed to pay around $ 1.7 million to settle criminal charges against them in an agreement that the US Department of Justice has described as the first of its kind. X
The officers, Marc Baier, Ryan Adams, and Daniel Gericke, are accused of working as senior managers in a United Arab Emirates-run company, which was carrying out recruitment operations on behalf of the government.
Prosecutors say the men provided spyware and intelligence systems used to spy on computers in the United States and other countries around the world.
