Former US President Donald Trump has announced plans to launch a new social network, called TRUTH Social.
He said the platform would "deal with the tyranny of major technology companies", accusing them of silencing rivals in the United States.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), of which he is chairman, also intends to launch a video demand registration service.
Bw. Trump was banned from social media or banned by networks such as Twitter and Facebook after a group of his supporters stormed the US Congress in January this year.
He and his advisers have since hinted that they plan to create a hostile social network.
An early version of its latest business, TRUTH Social, will be open to invited guests next month, and there will be a "national launch" within the first three months of 2022, according to a TMTG report.
"We live in a world where the Taliban have a huge presence on Twitter, but your beloved US President has been silenced," Mr. Trump wrote.
Earlier this year, he launched From Donald J Trump’s Desk, which was often referred to as a blog.
"Everyone is asking me why no one should stand up against big technology companies? Well, we'll do it soon!" he added.
