The death toll from a missile attack on an airbase in Yemen today has risen to 30. Another 40 people were injured in the attack, which occurred at the Al-Anad airbase in the southern Yemeni province of Lahij. Most of the victims were soldiers in a brigade of pro-government forces.
Three rockets believed to have been fired from Hutu rebel-held areas in the southwestern city of Taiz landed in a large airbase in Yemen.
The camp was once targeted by rebels in a drone strike in 2019. Yemen has been embroiled in a power struggle since late 2014, when Hutu rebels linked to Iran seized the capital, Sanaa, and other parts of the country.
