A woman has died and a man has been injured after actor Alec Baldwin opened fire using a drama gun on a film set in New Mexico.
Police in the U.S. state said Mr. Baldwin released the weapon during the production of his film
The woman was taken to hospital but died from her injuries. The injured man - the film's director, was receiving emergency care.
Mr Baldwin's spokesman told the AP news agency that the case involved the misuse of a rifle.
The woman was identified as Halyna Hutchins, 42, who was working as a director of photography. The person being treated is Joel Souza, 48, a film director.
Police are still investigating the incident at Bonanza Creek Ranch, a popular movie theater, and no charges have been filed.
