Europe approves use of Moderna vaccine for children

The European Medicines Control Agency (EMA) has recommended the approval of the Moderna Corona vaccine for children aged 12 to 17. This is the first time the vaccine has been approved for children under the age of 18. eighteen.

In a statement issued today, the European Medicines Control Agency said a study of more than 3,700 children of that age showed that the Moderna vaccine provided protection against the virus. The vaccine has already been approved for use by all adults throughout Europe.

So far the source developed by Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech is the only vaccine approved for children in the United States and Europe. The United States is still considering whether to approve the vaccine for children.
