Auckland, New Zealand, has been named one of the best cities to live in the world at the time of the Coronavirus epidemic.
A survey of the best cities conducted by the Economic Exploration Unit (EIU), highlighted 140 cities focusing on issues such as stability, education, and access to health care.
However, the coronavirus epidemic has been a major factor in this year's urban assessment and how responsibilities are shared.
In that assessment, Europe has seen a decline in its initial level with the cities of Australia and Japan, as well as New Zealand, rising further in the best position.
These lands in the snowy regions quickly responded to the outbreak of the coronavirus and were able to reduce the number of infected people and relax the conditions for controlling the spread of the virus.
The European Union states, meanwhile, were delayed in launching the vaccine, and many European nations imposed stricter conditions that made those cities perform poorly in this year's survey of the world's best living cities.
Auckland took first place in the list of the best cities in the world, Osaka Japan being second and Australia third - Adelaide.
The cities of Wellington in New Zealand and Tokyo in Japan ranked fourth.
In the UK no city has entered the top 10.
"The rise of the city of Auckland is due to the success of its Covid-19 response, which allowed people to be more open about the epidemic and the city was instrumental in preventing the spread of the disease," the EIU said in a statement.
"European cities have done very poorly in this year's list of the best cities to live in," he added.
The eight cities that fell on the list of the top ten cities were European cities.
Vienna, Austria, for example, has slipped from first place to 12th place.
The city has been at the top of the list of best cities for several years, with Melbourne leading the way.
But the northern German city of Hamburg has dropped dramatically from 34th to 47th place
